Cinematic Orchestra @ Beats n' Breaks Festival Toronto

Got a very interesting txt msg this afternoon from Mr.Mills stating that Cinematic Orchestra would be at this years Harbourfront Beats and Breaks Electronic Music Festival.
This is happily confirmed by the Harbourfront's World Routes website.
*BUMP* ChrisBiscuit just sent me word that Cinematic were just on GillePeterson's BBC show. Archive still up here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/gillespeterson/
I was happy to see Four Tet on the bill as well. After the last 4 months of solid shows, this summer is shaping up to be amazing.

Back for its fourth year, this festival just keeps getting better! Tour the history of electronic music, starting with its roots in soul, funk and jazz; listen in on the present, then continue to the future, where electronic music intermingles and meshes with contemporary global sounds.

  • Ninja Tune artists The Cinematic Orchestra
  • Experimental electronica and legendary drumming with Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) and Steve Reid, presented by
  • Critically-acclaimed experimental Toronto band Do Make Say Think
  • Volatile dance music with Shout Out Out Out Out
  • Brazilian dancefloor-friendly DJ Dolores (full band)
  • Documentary Rock the Bells personalizes the spirit of the do-it-yourself movement
  • Canada's largest breakdancing competition Pop, Lock & Load IV
a tip of the hat to http://mligon08.blogspot.com for being on the ball. Nice one, you've been bookmarked.
