Party Aftermath::Music Plasma

This would be your "music" thread...
Seems there was a bit of a mix up by my office as it were. Of the parties that were hypes last weekend, seems Hec and the Warriors were the only good times. The tribe crew is pretty harsh when it comes to reviews, the jaded raver voice always seems to seethe to the surface in 10 pt bitch. So in a quick recap, here's what (the hell) happened this weekend.
DJ Jazzy Jeff:NO SHOW I was checking his website and a week before it was mentioning (to be confirmed) I thought things had solidified when I saw fliers still being handed out less than a week before the show.
DJ DIZ : The always animated and bumpy DIZ apparently flipped to diva vocals in the middle of his set, killing the flow?
John E: NO SHOW-Stanton Warriors played the tragic Underbar, that had sprung a waterleak a week before and smelled like old people. I don't think they were expecting many people to show up. There was no coat check until they hastily threw in some poor ticket taker. This ended in tragedy when the rack fell and the numbering system went pear shaped. Sound levels reached landing strip levels near the start of the set and rose to shuttle engine by the end. I think they came quite close to the brown noise. Everyone should buy Etymotic Research earplugs. Now.
-I went to this and despite the above, Kick, Robb G (who later filled in as coat check dude) and the Stanton Warriors were all top notch. Read the gushing reviews here. I gave the night 4 and a half robots out of 5. Robb G actualy showed me the text message that John E had sent, he said he was having "car trouble." Not sure if he's back from the Van yet or what but I really would like to see this guy play one last time.
Hector Romero: Boa seems to know how to attract the right people and reviews for this night were generally positive. We got the nod to check this out but we wouldnt have been able to hear anything anyway.
Micky Finn:NO SHOW- Sound problems but 2 Live Crew was apparently decent. I hope the Nightmare crew can recover. From the sound of the Unabomber post...not likely.
Morgan Geist: Reviews range from "wack highschool dance" to "some of his tracks were good.. and some weren't!" blef...

Web site Liveplasma, the music and movies “discovery engine,” creates a map of film and music recommendations based on a movie or band name.
Search by band, movie title, director, actor and country. Liveplasma’s recommendations seem solid, and handy links to Amazon are provided for band discography and film purchases. Slow computers alert: it’s a giant Flash movie.
