SoulClap and LeLoup get you through hump day

Over the past few days I've been doing a lot of graphics work, more so than I am qualified for, so I find myself getting really anxious, chasing around errant pixels and gnashing my teeth.
This mix kept me a bit mellower, and gave my neck a workout. Nice deep Detroity feel.

I scrolled down - did you know Derek Plaslaiko is in NYC now? weird.

From blog.soulclap.com
http://blog.soulclap.us/2009/02/24/episode-47-le-loups-full-moon-mix

This week on the Adventurers of Soul Clap Podcast, we are proud to present a sophisticated, forward thinking and seriously deep mix from Get The Curse contributor and forthcoming Wolf + Lamb artist; the Parisian young blood, Le Loup.

Le Loup’s production sound very similar to his his DJ mix, reaching into a melting pot of Jazz classics, house and an all around heavy Detroit/NYC vibe. This set fits perfectly both daytime or afterhours and is a tried and tested compliment to any smokey scenario ;).

His upcoming W+L release (WL054 Digital) will feature another re-rub of the popular Nina Simone standard “See Lime Woman”, a remix of Nicholas Jaar’s “The Student” (formly remixed by Seth Troxler) and our favorite, the deep deep mood setter titled “Give Me Some”.

TTC sucks, this concept does not.

TTC Dine and Dash Google Map

TTC Subway Dine & Dash 2009
“Where can I dine without freezing my toches off to get there?”This is the basic concept behind this Dine and Dash Map, which was originally conceived on the Toronto Chowhound board. A list of restos that are spike-heeled-running-distance from the subway. It’s updated annually to reflect the new and the passing so as to not waste precious steps. It is not specifically a list of “the best” restos in town. Its main purpose is function. The idea was born on Chowhound,http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/591833Special thanks to Googs. If you have any suggestions or corrections, please email them tosuresh.doss@gmail.com

Handsome Sultan LIVE???! EPIC

Handsom Sultan IS Brian K.
http://www.myspace.com/handsomesultan

Band Members: 1 sultan; handsome.
Influences: when i was 10, my dad took me to a shady electronics store on kenilworth ave. in hamilton. its the kind of place you bought cable black boxes and other questionable items. the store carried a few black market nintendo games.. 300 games in one type of things. they had this one game, "handsome sultan". it had russian writing on the label. it looked really cool and my dad bought it for me. in the game, you were a sultan who was transported to another dimension and you had to find your way back home through crazy mushroom forest adventure levels. i have since learned that this game was designed by soviet scientists to reprogram children. the game featured subliminal messages and binaural beat music that slowly reconfigured the players consciousness so that they can communicate with other intelligences, outside the realm of normal perception.
