TorCamp, November 26, 2005

Community is the framework.

TorCamp is only as much fun as participants make it. Be prepared to lead or participate in a session, ask interesting questions, show off what you're working on, and generally leave your mark on the weekend. There are no spectators, only participants. This also isn't a corporate services sales pitch, if you are doing something interesting that's okay, but the goal is to get a great group of people together and learn.

Speaking of, if you're planning to attend then add yourself to this page think about contributing a session or ideas to the PossibleTopics:

Technorati Mini

Some topics are so hot, you've just gotta stay on top of who's saying what, right when they're saying it.

Introducing Technorati Mini – pop it open from any search to get a mini window that checks for new results once a minute.

Stay obsessively up-to-date, right up to the minute.

Arctic Monkeys BSide here

So after the whole sold out UK tour thing and all the buzz surrounding the then-pending release of their first formal single, "I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor", Arctic Monkeys finally released it and it shot to number one on the UK charts as predicted.
Arctic Monkeys are cool. Even Pitchfork has jumped on the bandwagon, saying: "The Sheffield, England-based baby band Arctic Monkeys have somehow harnessed the power of the video iPod, Asian bird flu, the Arcade Fire, and Samuel Alito into one big blazing ball of buzz" and going onto lament about Arctic Monkeys' lack of a Chicago stop on their upcoming brief US tour. So yeah, if Pitchfork is giving you madd props like that, then you know you're going places.

B-Side"Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts" (Studio Version) - Arctic Monkeys
Concert coming up soon!
